Must Read: De Lima on President Duterte’s Statements: Condones Summary Killings!
The long feud between Senator Leila De Lima and President Rodrigo Duterte will not e over soon as the former Justice secretary de Lima has once again insinuated against the new administration.
In an interview with dzBB, she has called the attention of the President and reminded him to abide by laws. It can be recalled that De Lima have been very vocal in persecuting the former Mayor of Davao in his alleged extrajudicial killings.
Quoting from his interview, she said:
Although she is acknowledging the effectiveness of Duterte’s tough stance in his nationwide anti-drug campaign, former Justice Secretary and chair on Commission of Human Rights, says that the President should be watchful of his words in motivating the authorities and in giving orders.
She also condemns the idea of killing people even if they are criminals and made a statement saying:
The newly minted senator is to file a resolution next week to have the drug suspects killings be investigated. This includes those who were killed even before Duterte move into Malacañang.
She plans to include PNP Chief Dela Rosa in the Senate Probe to clarify these anti-drug operations they have been activating.
When asked about whether she is afraid if criticisms following this filing of resolution, she boldly answered that she doing her job as a lawmaker.
