‘Bato’ Dela Rosa Along With 300 SAF Troopers Storms Into New Bilibid Prison

Change is coming in the New Bilibid Prison as PNP Chief Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa brought in 300 SAF troopers to man the controversial prison. With the new guards Dela Rosa expects to see tighter security within the New Bilibid Prison, the prison where ‘shabu’ was reportedly being manufactured and sold.

Dela Rosa also taunted high-profile inmates like Herbert Colangco and convicted drug lords Jaybee Sebastian and Peter Co, these inmates was reportedly behind the P1-B reward for President Rodrigo Duterte’s head.

All three inmates appeared shy/scared when they come face-to-face with the PNP chief.

A total of 320 SAF troopers began their watch at the NBP on Wednesday, replacing 220 jail guards who will undergo “reeducation and retraining,” according to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.

The SAF troops kicked off their NBP duty—which Aguirre said would be done in rotation with members of the Philippine Marines every two months—by searching Building 14 for contraband. The building’s occupants included Colangco and Co.
