Argentinian Farmer Discovered A Gigantic Egg On His Land. What He Found Was Unbelievable!
Argentine farmer, Antonio Nievas had an incredulous experience. He found a gigantic egg during one of his walks around his farm!
Almost a meter long, the black egg held a structure similar to a rock. Nievas even thought it was a dinosaur egg the first time he saw it.
The amazing discovery immediately caught the attention of scientists, who quickly came to the scene.
To everyone’s surprise and astonishment, contrary to what Nieves assumed, it was apparently a fossilized remain of the prehistoric animal, gliptodon.
A gliptodon holds similarities with the modern day armadillo. It is a gigantic animal that typically grows up to 3 meters long.
The prehistoric specie has long became extinct since the Ice Age transpired 10,000 years ago.
Additionally, despite the thousands of years that has passed, it was found to be surprisingly preserved. It is also composed of thousands of layers made up of bones.
The discovery is vital for paleontologists’ research which they hope will lead to further developments in their study about the extinct species.
